In 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022, descendants of the Jewish community in Nasielsk traveled to Poland and spent up to a week clearing the cemetery of weeds and trees. The goal was to clear the growth with the hopes of finding Matzevot (gravestones). We managed to clear about two-thirds of the land, but unfortunately no Matzevah were found by our groups. The good news is that the gathering of the descendants, and the connection we all had to our collective histories and with each other, led to the formation of the Nasielsk Society.
